Crest
That for the regiments and separate battalions of the Army Reserve: From a wreath Or and Azure the Lexington Minute Man Proper. The statue of the Minute Man, Captain John Parker (H.H. Kitson, sculptor), stands on the Common in Lexington, Massachusetts.

Shield
Blue is representative of Infantry, the original service of the organization. The wildcat is the insignia of the 81st Division; the stars represent the two major operations in France during World War I by the original unit.
Crest
The crest is that of the United States Army Reserve.
The coat of arms was originally approved for the 322d Infantry Regiment on 23 May 1925. It was amended to withdraw "Organized Reserves" from the nomenclature and delete the crest from the coat of arms on 20 July 1959. It was amended to reinstate the crest of the Army Reserve and revise the symbolism on 28 July 1970. The insignia was redesignated for the 322d Regiment with the blazon and symbolism revised on 20 December 1993.
